Atomic Day
Our history holds many things both good and bad. But one that occured on October 11th occured when 2 great men, one the president at the time and the other one of the smartest men in the world. Yes that would be Franklin D. Roosevelt and Albert Einstein. The discussion these two men had that day is not one that a peace loving man would have had. It seemed that Mr. Einstein had been thinking about a nuclear bomb , the atomic bomb and wanted to know if FDR would be willing to use the bomb if it was created. After the conversation Mr. President would go to work creating a group on individuals to study whether a nuclear bomb was needed or not.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan
Oh the devastation that was to occur and many lives were lost and it most likely seemed the end of the world to others. There has not been another nuclear weapon used since this time in a war but many countries followed the nuclear route and have developed war craft to use if the time was to ever occur. Very scary in my opinion.
To end this post lets share a recipe that was named after the atomic bomb. This atomic cake is one that adds so much hopefully to please all.
1 layer banana or yellow cake
1 layer chocolate cake
1 layer white cake
Fresh bananas, sliced
1 small box Jell-O banana Pudding
fresh strawberries, sliced
Grated chocolate
1 small box Jell-O chocolate pudding
1 small box Jell-O vanilla Pudding
whipped cream
How to make it
Set the banana (or yellow) cake layer on a cake plate.
Top with sliced bananas, then spread banana pudding over the top to hold the bananas together.
Spread whipped cream over pudding.
Place the chocolate cake layer on top.
Sprinkle with grated chocolate.
Top with sliced strawberries, then spread chocolate pudding over the top.
Spread with whipped cream.
Place the white cake layer on top.
Spread with vanilla pudding.
Frost top of cake with a generous amount of whipped cream.
Refrigerate
I think the atomic bomb was probably the most horrifying invention in human history. At least the cake isn't, though!
